Toll house cookies

This is a family recipe! My aunt Nora would make these all the time.
I hope you like them!

1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups + 4 Tbsp flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs. Add dry ingredients. Add chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Do not over bake!

I was reading Heidi Swapp's blog and she was talking about her cookie recipe and when she posted it, it was just about the same as mine.
